I can't see that. Have the Democrats' approval ratings in the polls been going down the way the Republicans' have? If not, then there would be no objective basis for saying that they were weakened by the scandal. And note, in particular, that the author ended with a quote saying that the President brought this on himself.

My family is made up mostly of journalists for national papers. Their liberal bias is awesome. It is a fact that over 70% of journalists in this country are Democrats. Fortunately liberalism is not transmitted genetically.
