Scumby - Re: " When PC magazine starts telling people that Celeron is as good as PII, will they continue to buy PII's?"

Pentium III

Pentium III

Pentium III

Tenchsatsu told you - Intel will replace the middle end of their lineup with Pentium III !

Pentium II prices will drop.

Celeron prices will drop.

K6-2 prices will PLUMMET.

Sharpy will be introduced to much fan fare, We're Back Sanders will claim a major victory, the analysts will announce AMD a success and in a few quarters We're Back Sanders will tell us all why the Sharpy shipments didn't live up to expectations.

Believe me, We're Back Sanders has this speech memorized !

Paul

Scumbria,Re:When PC magazine starts telling people that Celeron is as good as PII, will they continue to buy PII's

Most end user will not and would buy Celeron or wait for
Pentium III. For business, it is entirely different. It
would take much longer time for them to certify a new
system(thus would continue to buy PII).
