In accordance with the price/press release ratio which Cramer suggested for valuing Internet stocks, I would have to say that AMAT has gotten rather behind on press releases lately, which could explain the resistance the stock has been seeing since the last step up. My suggestion for AMAT management is to put out some press releases which explain their connection to the Internet, and a new slogan: "AppliedMaterials.com: Enabling Technology for the Internet". <g>

Hi Big Bucks,

You are Right when you said: --- "Looks like folks are starting to take some profits out of the Internet flyers and put it where there is some tangible value and real assets, this could help raise the semi sector as cash looks for a home."

Investors know little about the Earnings of the Internet Hi Flyers as they were Privately held companies until recently. As they report their quarterly earnings, Investors finally have guidelines to use in valuing their stocks. NSCP in the last Bull Market Skyrocketed then came back to earth when Investors figured out its Earnings Power...

As for the Semi-Equips, Investors know that they are just recovering and it will take months for them to improve their earnings. The Market always wait for them, but then, when the time comes that they Post Consecutive Record Quarterly Earnings, Investors will be asking themselves: --- "These Last of the Bunch Guys finally arrived, are there Unexpected Guests still Coming?... or shall we begin?"
