Have to share my 'expensive' commute this
AM...We had a horrific snow/sleet/freezing rain/rain
event the past 36 hours or so..my daughter had a 2 hour
delay for school..so I was tapped to take her to high
school at you guessed it 9:30 !!!..had VRIO and IMON overnite
and saw that the market was going to gap-up..dumped all
on the open...got back home at 10:45 and saw IMON going
by at 4 1/4.....that was a $4,000 trip..

When you see a large "ask size" when you get a quote, is that the amount trying to be sold or the amount people want to buy?

If it is the amount trying to be sold, a larger size relative to the bid size would tend to push the price down, wouldn't it?
