But given the fact that the sexual acts alone- even without the attempted destruction of citizen Jones's case using perjury and witness tampering- greatly disturb even many Democratic voters who really aren't eager to defend this man for the rest of his term, a resignation could easily be called for. And no, Daniel, that does NOT assume the "dogs of political war" won't go after Gore. Gore is a better bet to have to live with for the next two years than is Clinton- for the sake of the party. JMHO. I agree, this is very speculative- but it would certainly take some weight off the Democratic Party's shoulders.
