Re: Brazilian license. With the Br. real falling, doesn't that make the license even cheaper? Aren't they paying for the license in reals? Also, the cost of expanding their assembly lines by Qualcomm do Brasil- in reals, right?

To all:

Recognizing that truth is an absolute defense against a libel action, I just have to say that Marc Cabi is KNOWINGLY AND DELIBERATELY DISSEMINATING FALSE INFORMATION. Qualcomm management DID NOT at any point during this quarter "guide" him to a $0.70 earnings estimate. Period.

The Street consensus for the quarter is $0.59. It defies logic and it defies imagination that the company would have guided Marc Cabi alone to an earnings expectation almost 20% above consensus. Qualcomm management has explicitly stated that it DID NOT provide such guidance to Cabi.

In my opinion, this is a blatant and obvious attempt by Cabi to "engineer" an earnings "disappointment" where no exists. I find this behavior deceptive, manipulative and offensive in the extreme. Be advised that we, once again, will be forwarding information to the SEC for review.

Disgusted in Naples,

Gregg
