Zeev, as I understand it, overcharging of the cobalt battery can cause lithium to be electroplated unto the cathode. This does not seem to be a problem with the manganese type.

I don't understand how Pronichev's info is reconciled with the claims made by Hanil Valence. I keep hearing manganese, manganese, but the latest Valence patents(applied for two years ago) show a Vanadium anode. The claims made for this device are impressive inasmuch as the energy density is compared to metallic lithium (without the hazard)

The specs reported for the Hanil battery, scheduled for July production are nothing like any manganese based battery that I have heard of. Where would Hanil get the technical expertise to manufacture such a product? It must be a Valence battery! This battery appears to have 30-50 % more capacity than current production ion or poly.

I think Valence has some serious surprises for their competitors.
