Debra,

I'm trying to learn to read macd divergence with an eye to what I might expect.

Re: SOX. I see no divergence on the weekly chart, while the monthly I might, but it seems to be ramping up (so is it too early to call?) and the daily is capable of breaking out (if you look at formation in the chart) but macd is showing divergence for now.
Do I have this right?

Also, which time frame do you give the most weight? That is, if the weekly and monthly charts are fine, but the daily is showing divergence, what conclusion do you draw from this? That things are worsening short term, and may eventually pull the long term charts down with it?

Thanks, if you have the time to answer these questions, or can refer me to a thread, book or site that will explain these things to me.

Regards,

E. Graphs
