Hi gang,

I went to the Philadelphia Stock Exchange web site yesterday and was surprised to see that VLSI isn't in the SOX anymore. ADI and LRCX were also removed from the index. ADI, LRCX, and VLSI were replaced with ALTR, KLAC, and RMBS. Does anybody know why VLSI and the other two companies were removed from the SOX and when this was done? At first glance, I thought they might have done it because VLSI's market cap dropped below a prescribed threshold. But, that doesn't apply to ADI or LRCX whose market caps are well above their recent lows.

Here is a link to the web site. You will need Adobe Acrobat to read the file. phlx.com

Thanks,
Dan
