DBCC fireworks...more to come? Hedge Fund arbs overjoyed...arbs pounce...

Have Data Broadcasting shareholders walked into MarketWatch IPO trap?

Investors may get caught in a pricing squeeze between MarketWatch and co-parent Data Broadcasting

"...Hedge fund arbs are overjoyed. Internet investors in Data Broadcasting Co. outsmarted themselves, and on Friday the arbs pounced. It all has to do with the MarketWatch.com IPO..."

The MSNBC piece on DBCC msnbc.com was certainly illogical. Not only did they at one point say that 1 share DBCC was worth 7.21 shares MKTW, and in another paragraph say 1 share MKTW was worth 7.21 shares DBCC, but their valuation model implicitly assumes that there is no other part of DBCC that has value other than the 38% stake in MKTW. Strange!
