You may be right, Spence, but I think a lot of people including shareholders and people who pay attention to newsletter writers would be better off if RT laid his cards on the table. The buzz word now is "transparency," and I buy that concept a lot more than the patronizing, "I know what's best for you, trust me," attitude of RT.

You might ask yourself this question: who benefits from RT hiding his cards? I don't see how it helps me. I plan on holding but a lot of people will probably be shaken out by his letting Kaiser's and Bishop's broadsides go unanswered and the stock plunge (I don't consider his Stockwatch remarks an answer). At some point I'll probably be hurt by his secretiveness- probably after I read in BCSC that insiders have been dumping shares a month or two after the stock has declined 33% (hopefully after the price has hit $15)

As Kaiser mentioned, the argument that he's keeping info from DeBeers doesn't wash, since they have a reputation of finding out things they want to know, and diamntairres probably don't think loose lips sink ships or diamond companies and don't care if they do. I think DeBeers knows a lot more than SHs do.

I think RT should hold a newsconference with Dr. P and Dr. Bob and answer all questions to the best of their ability. If nothing else it would create good pr for WSP.
