Guess which speedpath that is? It is the address translation/cache lookup path.

I was close.

That path has been fixed architecturally in K7 (with a three cycle cache lookup.)

What kind of bizarre clocks are they using to accomplish that? Not a bad rule of thumb is keep it simple stupid (KISS).
