LurkyLoo - Good for you. You must tell them actually what you think, after all, if not for us investors/traders...and especially us traders, they would not be around. There are too many other places wanting our money and if they are not going to do the job to your satisfaction, someone else is willing to give it a shot.

Have a great weekend.

Cable Modem.

Rather than getting a dedicated phone line you might want to consider getting a cable modem. I used to use a dedicated telephone line and was not pleased with the speed, even with a 56K modem. I have recently switched to a cable modem and I am much happier now. If a cable modem is available where you are and you are spending a lot of time on the internet the extra few bucks is worth it! IMO

I will be very interested in your comparison between your new service and ETRADE. I am also an ETRADE customer and just about ready to switch because of the terribly s...l...o...w... website. I put up with it only because I am a relative newcomer, make few trades, (6 so far in 1999) and really don't know if others are really better or not. I also like to be able to do simple option trades which not all sites allow. Please advise if your new service is better...or not, and how much trouble it is to change from one broker to another. Thanks

LurkLoo
You brought up something that should be mentioned
to all on board here...
equiptment;;
A PC with a lot of ram and a fast modem.
A second Phone line for isp connection only.
1st should have call waiting to help with
all those pesty calls and family calls and
calls to broker when on line trading is down.
A TV with a vcr recorder to record CNBC interviews.
These are a must. They are basic and you can add on
later......
