Trev...this off the Stockwatch thread...fwiw category........interesting.... Author: drj -- Date:1999-01-14 11:54:07 I would like to address the recent reports on winspear. I have been lurking on the SI site for a few months now and have followed winspear for almost 3 years. One of the directors is a personal friend of mine and a more honest person you could never hope to meet. He is most proud that news releases from winspear are not preceded by any bump in trading activity i.e. no one gets any inside or advanced knowledge of news releases. He himself does not review results of analysis until they are complete and he only reviews them after the markets are closed,as you might see all news releases are published after the markets are closed. As for Kaiser, concerned that 75% of the value of the bulk sample is contained in the 3 largest stones that only makes sense in my mind. Aren't larger diamonds worth many times more than smaller ones? When asked would winspear hit $40 per share, my friend responded "On the way up it will!" I believe it would be prudent to hold on to your shares. The big mining conference is at the end of the month and I predict big things will happen during this conference. If it weren't for Bre-X, and other gold scams the share price would probably already be over $20. Beware the results of the caustic fusion analysis of the small bulk sample. They will be widely misinterpreted and may result in the only buying opportunity for winspear at these low prices. The analysis is only to be used for estimating the distribution of diamonds in the sample not to find more big diamonds. Thats my 2 cents worth take for what it is, I don't pretend to be an expert in the field but I think I'm a good judge of character, and the director that I know is very excited about winspear and if he's excited about the project there's probably good reason for it.
