Bindusagar - you said "CSCO might win some business but will not become a major player in Telecom area. They will remain an ENTERPRISE networking company..."

I could not disagree more. CSCO has already targeted the $100 billion plus telecom market, and if you look at your recent history you will see that when CSCO targets a market, they not only become a major player in that market, they tend to wipe out their competition in the process. Mr. Chambers has already articulated his vision of the future, with "webtone" eventually replacing "dial tone". I personally believe in this vision, which is why I remain a CSCO investor.

" As Mr. FUN intelligently pointed out CSCO is a force in enterprise market with 80-85% of revenues coming from enterrise markets. CSCO may become the king in enterrise and LAN switches which will eventually get commoditized. Carrier market is mainly WAN market and building a RELIABLE 24 HOUR 7 DAY network, CSCO has not demonstrated that they can do it. "

This is not true. At least you know nothing about CSCO carrier
product. CSCO/STRM frame relay and ATM equipments have been deployed
in AT&T Interspan Network since 1991, which is the largest data
Network in the world. And still it is.
