I personally would love to see it illegal to have former leaders collect "payoffs" from anyone before, during or after they are in office.

But since the country does not seem to care about fund raising reform, then I doubt Clinton will be any different than other Presidents... except that is he gets away with perjury or obstruction of justice, then he might also feel he can get away with plunder.

I believe the news media said he and Gore are some of the greatest "illegal fund raisers" in history. But then the Republicans are not clean either... but again, as I said before, at least the Republicans are kicking out their corrupt leaders... where is the Democrats honor?

Everyone is trying to change the reason Clinton is in trouble. Its not Republican revenge or Democrat stupidity, its Clinton's own out of control lust and greed and thinking he is above the law. He and O.J. should start a business together.

The Demos "accept" foreign money BEFORE and AFTER staying in any office, not to speak of WHILE IN OFFICE.

A Buddhist temple mantra helps with "postage" ...

<<...millions of dollars in gifts from foreign countries immediately after leaving office...>>

I never thought about this before. It ought to be just as illegal as accepting such when in office.

<<If he does, do you personally think that is OK, or does it leave you, as it leaves me, wondering what favors were done?>>

Not only what favors were done, but the attraction to future politicians for favoring that particular country becomes suspect.
