NHC positioned to resume growth in 1999

NHC Communications Inc NHC

Tue 19 Jan 99 News Release
Mr. Sylvain Abitbol reports
After a challenging year in 1998, NHC Communications is positioned to
resume its growth and improve results in 1999 with new product launches.
Five new switching products will have been introduced commercially by the
end of the current quarter, making 1999 one of the most exciting years in
terms of product launches in the history of NHC.
All of these products have been developed in response to requirements that
serve specific market niches and the company expects them to begin
contributing to revenues in the current fiscal year. Switchex/DVS, a
revolutionary voice and data cross connect matrix switch, has been launched
and the company already has its first order. NHC is strengthening its sales
and marketing efforts to accelerate market penetration of these new
products.
NHC has made a major investment in research and development to bring these
products to market. All of these products are based on the company's proven
switching technology platform.
There was improvement in the company's financial position as a result of
the sale of its United Kingdom subsidiary, as well as improved results for
the first quarter ended Oct. 31, 1998.
During the annual meeting, shareholders approved the appointment of
PricewaterhouseCoopers as auditors. This change is consistent with the
company's growth strategy in North American and international markets.
