I have an account with Watley and chose them because they tout that they execute option trades better. It is true that you only need one account. I trade both stocks and options on mine and use margin to purchase stock. It's very confusing when calculating buying power and equity when you trade both stocks on margin and options. I made some mistakes in calculations when I first started. I'd advise anyone to talk to a representative about how this works in detail. Another thing to consider is day trading and overnight buying power.
