Actually in a PBS special, Nerds that rule the World (I think that is the title of it), the mouse was invented by a scientist at Xerox in the late 1960's early 1970's. They concluded that the mouse was superior to the keyboard, unfortunately it was ahead of it's time. Steven Jobs seen the value of the mouse and ran with the idea. That was from the PBS special.

Sorry but the mouse was invented by this guy BEFORE he went to Parc at Xerox. This is a fact... The guy just happened to use it on the operating system they created a Parc.
