Re: "If Intel has to worry about some little company that has 1/70 of its market value, then maybe you should too."

Jadrew, if you have been following Intel for any length of time you must know that Intel is worried about everything because "only the paranoid survive". Intel should be and is very concerned about AMD. This is why we are seeing Intel fighting back on the low end where they realize they made mistakes by not taking that market seriously. Shortly you will see Intel taking steps to defend their position in the midrange and highend as well.

Jadrew - Re: " You know (ECO 101), if a company is earning "excess" profits it will attract new entrants. "

History lesson for the clueless (Hist 101) - AMD has been competing with Intel in x86 markets since 1982 and with Intel, in general, since about 1974.

Both companies are about the same age - 30 years old.

AMD is at 3.3 Billion Market Cap for a reason.

Guess the reason?

That's right - now you know.
