The short answer is No. It was explained to me that if it went up and you sold you would then have an illegal short position. That was the quick explanation I got when I tried the same thing.

I hope someone else can answer your questions, because I have no idea whether an online broker can do as you ask....
Questions for you...why are you concerned that people think you short a stock?...and, do I know you? Just curious....

You could put a sell limit order for a price you think it will rise to if they announce the IPO on Tuesday...and don't get greedy....

Ask your broker if he accepts OCO orders
for NASDAQ stocks..

OCO=One cancels the other...

sell 1000 NAVR @ 25 or
sell 1000 NAVR @ 15 OCO
