A total of 58 Pharmers entered the 1999 Pharma Porfolio Challenge.
The 58 entries represent 54 different portfolios...(There are five 100% PFErs in 1999 as compared to 2 in 1998).
For 1999, I have created the following 6 composite portfolios** for comparative purposes:
-BIG PHARMA**- Portfolio is indexed versus the Big Pharma growth rate. -CASH**- Portfolio is 100% in cash at the bank with a fixed 5% annual return -PFE DRIP**- Portfolio is 100% in cash with a $833 monthly DRIP for PFE -PFE DRIP SHORT**- Portfolio is 100% in cash with a $833 monthly DRIP for shorting PFE -SHORT COX II**- Portfolio is short 50% PFE and short 50% MRK -SHORT PFE**- Portfolio is 100% short PFE.
