<<what am I missing here?>>

You might be missing nothing. It sounds like you gave the product a fair shot. Just the same here are some thoughts that make me feel somewhat comfortable about what will happen on Tuesday:

1.) "Webferret"--I haven't personally heard of 'em. Sun Microsystems, Intel...I've heard of 'em. And they, in turn, have heard of ImaginOn. It's people connections that can sometimes make or break a business and IMON seems to have some great connections;

2.) What you tested, version 5.0, is not the final product. WebZinger version 6.0 is supposed to be (I know you already mentioned this in your post). Even if 6.0 has some faults, the market, IMO, is going to invest right now in ImaginOn based on the potential or concept of the product. People, I think, like the concept of a web report generator and we, as a market, are speculating that version 6.0 will be a good one;

3.) WebZinger isn't the only bullet this gun can fire. On 1/29 there's this "Supra-Search Engine" to be unveiled, which only our imaginations can guess about. Also there are a couple of other products, "sellONstream" and "WorldCities 2000" which I don't know much about but sound appealing;

4.) Have I mentioned Sun Microsystems and Intel? Current CEO of IMON (Dave Schwartz) was a VP at Atari. Current Chairman of IMON (Henry Fong) is the CEO of EQTX, a successful company in its own right (actually, I don't know anything about the company but the chart looks awesome).

I could be dreaming, but I see this stock as hitting at least $10 sometime in the near future, possibly Tuesday itself. The dreamer in me thinks I'll be able to sell at $20, but we'll have to wait to see about that.

It's just so hard to believe that Sun and Intel have would have anything to do with a scam. Ergo, IMON is legit and has shown these two companies something great. All we have to do now is wait for us, the public, to see it.

Just my 2-cents,
Chris

Miser, I downloaded it too, and my experience was similar. And even on a pentium 400 it's not too fast. I can't understand why someone would wait 10 minutes, never mind 60+... search engines already give you text summary of the hits, and you can decide. The web is about instant gratification..and it's slow enough already! MAYBE it makes sense if you've got a cable modem and the time is cut down.

Think it's very easy for people who don't know technology to latch onto the Internet word, without realizing what it is. Being able to download is great because you can get hands on with it.

Was conjecturing before about VJ++, it's not, it's 100% java. And it's pokey because they're using sun's runtime.

This is not a search engine, they're relying on yahoo, lycos, etc. Nowhere close to what Inktomi is doing (they supply yahoo and some other big portal). I actually thought the graphics and layout were pretty professional. Definetely recommend all potential investors to do the download and try it.

The kid filtering looked like the parent had to put in a list of "naughty" words, that'd be filtered out? Anyone tried this?

Webferret sounds interesting. CatchTheWeb (.com) is good for pulling & publishing pages, has won several awards, and NetAttache from Tympani for sucking down a web site.
