>> Let's see if we can get Rick to comment on the immunology. << PB...... Ugh. When the Myloral trial failed and I saw the size (lottsa patients) of the phase III RA trial, I figured that either the entire concept was "wrong", or that effects would be so marginal that the product wouldn't be hard to work around. That is, I figured at best they'd have an approved product that either wouldn't sell or wouldn't sell for long. Comment on the science? Most of the compelling preclinical work that I remember was in a rat model for MS. So..... I guess I just lost interest. I'd prefer that you allow me to remain in my ignorant bliss. Life is better if you realize that you are not obligated to evaluate (or be correct about) each of every 400 biotechs. I do think, however, that the wise thing to do is to find companies that have multiple routes to success, rather than to bet on one. In that vein, the XOMA comments have popped up here again. My stance, for the bazillionth time....... I believe that BPI will beat sepsis if anything will, and I occasionally trade the hope. I don't know what makes XOMA supporters feel that they are being singled out..... both the upside and the downside potential is significant, but the downside will be fully realized on the failure of a single molecule. George.... VDXX isn't exactly richly populated with companies that have failed with product candidate after product candidate, that have their future dependent on a single molecule, or that have price:book ratios of over 15 but no sales or approved products. Have you ever stopped to consider that a degree of success is already built into the market cap and that the downside just plain makes this an unattractive bet for those with a risk tolerance that differs from yours? My dad died of sepsis, and that's one reason that I wanted to work on the syndrome. I hope that your bet pays off and that you get filthy rich. If your bet does pay off, I hope that I get wind of the coming success and can get on board. But, you said "laughter and jeers".... is there some reason why people aren't allowed to give opinions about the stocks that you champion and have them considered as reasoned commentary rather than laughter and jeers? Good luck, all! Rick
