I agree. The days of the market makers are numbered, as new systems will allow individuals to trade directly with each other (as institutions do now through Instinet etc.). The spreads of MMs will narrow or disappear, and their revenues will follow. Now, it may take a few years, and NITE could do well in that time, just remember that their entire business model may cease to exist at some point in the near future.
