George is not saying anything. VBG. Let me clarify was he is attempting to say. Here is a oxymoron. (not george)He is saying that
perhaps the trial is extended because bpi is "perhaps" working.
The DSMB is apparently looking for a certain number of deaths
the number of which they wont disclose. Since the trial is extended
past 330 then one must assume that the expected deaths did not occur. Then one must consider that half got bpi half did not. They one must wonder is it is standard of treatment accross all groups or standard in treatment arm (bpi). Does this mean bpi is working>no.
Does this mean the potential exists>perhaps.
