Bob, am having trouble with my e-mail both receiving and sending. Big delays.

Hope by now you are aware that even with zero deaths in treatment group the trial would not be stopped until X number of total deaths occurred. Suppose there were 0 in the treatment group and 5 in the placebo with 100 people in each group. No stop. If 300 accrued with zero in treatment and 7 in placebo. No stop. Ellen said the total of required deaths includes both groups. She confirmed this to Greg.

This is indeed counter intuitive but one of my e-mails explained why XOMA might have accepted a total death figure rather than getting stuck with that figure after trying to get the treatment deaths excluded.

Murphy has a call in hot line on Wed and Fri. Comments came after the market close.

Jan & Feb 1999 data.
Just reinforces my belief that with bpi in everyone's biology books it is a topic of interest and will be intently studied.
Just goes to show that RobertS is pumping crap.
All IMHO, of course ;-)
