Here's my situation....I have ordered a new computer and it was shipped Thursday. I'm going from a 486 DX2-50 Win 3.1 to a 400MHz Pentium II with Win 98. Before it gets here, I have a few questions I would like to get answers to. Anyone that has knowledge with Win 98 or the questions I have, please help me.

1. How do you partion the hard drive into more than one drive, and is this recommended? I'm getting a 10 Gig hard drive.

2. How do you import bookmarks or favorites into the new browsers which I will have to change to?

3. What Utility program do you recommend I get for Win 98? I have Norton Utilities now and am familiar with it.

4. Will my programs that I have been using on Win 3.1 run under Win 98 or do I have to upgrade all of them?

5. I have MS office and Quicken on my computer now. The new computer will be coming with these same programs but a newer version. Will I be able to import the data from the old to the new?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm excited about going from a Model A to a Cadillac in one move. Completely missed out on Win 95. Any help will be appreciated.

Wily: As long as I clean history out every night when I get done reading up to 600 messages, I can keep this computer fast. This computer is only a laptop because we travel in the summer. It serves its purpose. Thanks for helping me speed it up.
