If sales are on the high end of our expectations, analysts will start coverage again and this will propel the stock upward.

Dear John: I hope that you're right. However, there are four problems: (i) analysts are starting to temper their views of AMZN, EBAY and the other front runners; (ii) CNBC is attacking the internets and e-commerce stocks every half-hour; (iii) as I posted earlier, analysts are finding fault with some of EGGS' direct competitors (over market conditions); and (iv) even if the revenues are blow-out numbers for the 3rd Quarter (ending December 27, 1998), we are entering into the 4th Quarter which is traditionally weak for retailers.

Given the expressed tentativeness of some of the "Longs" on this board. Some have even declared that they will be selling prior to the earnings announcement. I'm beginning to wonder what the "broader world" out there must be thinking, who are far less knowledgeable about the EGGS story than people on this board.
