Nice to see all of you this Saturday morning. I wish we had a way to communicate instantly during trading hours. As it is...I have to switch screens back and forth and my ticker gets a little cranky when I do. Any Ideas?

Melinda and Jon.... When I first started trading I was reading some posts on some board that said shorting was a sleazy way to make money, and unethical. Since I didn't know any better, I believed that to be true. Since then, I've come to learn that shorting is a perfectly legitimate way to trade and help lower the overall risk. I'm basing that statement on what I've read and heard since then.

I have never shorted a stock yet. Like I said, it is kind of intimidating to me, mainly because I am just now having some success on the long side. With time and experience I hope to eventually learn to be able to spot a stock that is shortable with little risk. if there is such an animal. ; )

Thanks for the tip Jon. I accept all input pro and con. What helps me to learn.
