Jeer: Thanks for the comments. I stepped in at $17 and so will likely just ride out the waves and hope for the best. If it dips real low and still seems viable, I would average down abit. But likely just grin and bear it and HOPE for a pop. In time hope to get more sophisticated about this. In meantime just grateful not to lose a bundle along the way. Regards Colin

Excellent post...Exactly my philosophy with NAVR....however I think your downside is a bit drastic. (unless they cancel the IPO which they'd be crazy to do) Then NAVR would be another $5 stock drifting in space.. (or to Mars)

I will trade/watch NAVR until they commit to an IPO timeframe... offically.. not the innuendos of "60 days from this day... he promised me!!" Better to miss a few points on the upside, than sit with dead money or even worse have them not say anything about an IPO for a month and watch this go back to $11.

Of the trio of MALL, DBCC, NAVR...... this one could have the most explosive move upward simply because MALL caught most by surprise as it was the "first of its kind" (backdoor IPO)... DBCC had too much of a big float for it ever to reach $50+ (and really it only hit $40 for a brief hour?), while NAVR has all the ingrediants here... has the history of trading 30M a day, has a sizable short position, it's an established "trading" stock by daytraders, and most important has a float much closer to MALL's size than DBCC's.

Another important factor is the greed factor of NetRadio... if they can be smart about it and keep the float of the IPO under 3M, then they can have a little rocket ship on their hands... UBID 1.8M, MKTW 2.75M, Netradio who knows.... now if they get greedy and to raise more money they try to go for 8-10M shares on Netradio that will make this play less attractive... so let's hope they stay smart and follow the pattern of other successful spin-offs.
