There is some indications of a weakening board biz. This site prints out a monthly book-to-bill for the PWB business, and November showed a significant drop to below 1.00. The December number will be out the last week of January. Be interesting to see if it confirms this trend. ipc.org This indicator doesn't seem to be helpful for prediction in stock picking. The stocks got clobbered in the fall of 97, long before the drop in the BTB indicator. Of course some knowledgeable industry insiders didn't see the downturn coming either. This indicator only tracks about 40% of the market, and doesn't track foreign sourced boards. Paul
