enter the SCSI select by hitting 'Control A'?

Exactly.

Where did you get the AOpen AX6BPLUS?

Shark Computer for $175. Not that many venders came up at Pricewatch and Shark had al,most the best price but I had some minor problems with them and would not recommend them. The board is ok but Shark shipped the board to me instead of Minotaur, it was not double boxed, and they mixed up my billing with someone else's so extra money was charged to my credit card. I straighten it all out but had to make 3-4 phone calls to them.

want SCSI and it is a lot cheaper and makes more sense to have it onboard
considering the substantial savings.

and the saved PCI slot

removable mobo tray. I do not know if that is good or bad

Not as good as removeable but Jon said it was not problematic either. PCNut said the same. The new version is supposed to be sturdier and the power supply has an industry rating where previously not. Its the 300w Sparkle ps.

test the ABIT mobo and see if I am one of the lucky ones

I remember Networm saying Abit had a history of DOA, I think Sean had some problems also.
