Who really thinks they can make money shorting microsoft? They're really asking
for trouble selling naked calls. Don't you think 15 years of getting spanked would
diminish the shorter's spirit just a bit? I think Cramer's off track. There are just some
big players out there who drove the stock down in the last two weeks, probably
loaded up on Jan calls, and then used all their cash to drive it right back up.

Bill,
You might be right about big players driving this stock down. They knew if would spike
up just before earnings considering how Intel had done. I had suspected this for the
past week or so. It was interesting to note the stock would drop off in a big way just
in the last half hour of trading. This was getting frusterating, seeing it out perform
the nasdaq and then getting hit at the end of the day---ON SOMEWHAT LIGHT LATE DAY VOLUME.
I think if it traded for another 10 minutes the 150s would have been well into the money.
I think your argument sounds better than Cramer's. I had just thought that it was too big
a stock to accomplish this tactic on. THis stock was "held" down.
