NY Times (print edition) had several articles which seemed to support the idea that the Brazilian effect would be minimal. I am beginning to heave huge sighs of relief.

Mohan,

Real problem affects US trade(less than 2% trade according to Abbey)only marginally. Letting it float was,IMO long overdue.

What we have here is a virtual Real.
