carl, just keep in mind that there is a consistent policy of calling bottoms that are not bottoms - leading to grossly high estimates. i think i've seen a bottom called about 10-20 times in the last 2 years. maybe this is real, maybe not...

Carl, analysts are overly optimistic when times are bad and overly optimistic when times are good. Their job in the tech arena is not to accurately, rationally project future earnings; it is to attract commissions and future underwriting for their firms. Kurlack seems to do his analysis to feed his own ego, but imo he is by far the exception compared to most analysts.
Analysts who are negative lose contact with the firms they are covering and become uncompetitive with other analysts.
