Where can I find out that MS was a major buyer yesterday? Is there a link that you could direct me to? Thanks - it may renew my confidence.

To the thread. I am a long-term holder of tech stocks in particular. Some of them are CSCO, SUNW, INTC, LU, AOL, BRCM, CTXS, -so I hope Abby is correct.

Hi REH,

"the fact that MS was a major buyer yesterdaY strenghtens that thought. "

I didn't know that Meryl Streep was into Hi-Techs....

REH, >>>Profits in
2000/1 will be staggering to quote SG Cowen.<<<

I don't know how Cowan can come to that conclusion. Drew Peck, who covers semiconductors for them, is bearish on Intel, saying they rely too much on Xeon for profits. Well, if that's the case, he musn't see much future for the PIII, which will turn Rambus DRAM loose. If PIII isn't quite profitable for Intel, Rambus won't do well. Anyway, tongue taken out of cheek, I personally don't think most of these specialty tech analysts know what they are talking about, and wouldn't heed their calls whatsoever.

It makes me wonder, what with the ease of doing all kinds of research on the internet for anybody with some time and a computer, what the half life of these analysts is going to be from now on anyway.
