You are right, if someone dumps 15 MM shares, in the early session, the stock will move up in the late session, because investors from ALL OVER THE WORLD is watching this stock on a daily base. That is why it is hard for Microsoft to drop significantly, once it drops , it will rebound fast. Do not look down upon the small investors, if John bought 100 shares, Mary bought 200 shares, and Robert bought 1000 shares , and Linda bought 5000 shares from all over the world in the same day, the total volume will be huge. If Congress increase the max limit of 401K contribution, there will be more money to the market, and these money will push the stock price !!!! If everone is bulish the stock thinking about its coming new product release cycle, earning nnouncement, and split, while the stock went down, it is definitely the big boy is playing the market, just like what happened couple days ago. However, the big boys can not compete the money power from all over the world, so, the play will be life short; So we have a sharp rebound on Friday.
