Ian,

I know you to be a solid investor with a willingness to do a lot of reading and fundamental research. I know this from following closely your posts on the semi conductor equipment thread where I feel you hold your own against the bears.

Now you are asking Zalesky, who has done nothing but hoo rah this stock, without one iota of rationale, for an explanation of his latest statement. Good luck.

Now let me ask you a question. What is there about WDC that makes you feel bullish about it? I see it as a screaming short that will nosedive as soon as there is any hint of renewed difficulty in the sector. Even if you buy into the recent upgrades in EPS (we should say losses per share really) this company does nothing but bleed for several quarters. How far out are you going to justify current pricing? FWIW I have sold SEG and shifted my focus to non pure DD plays that keep me in data storage. (Disk array and equipment companies). I am also likely to renew a short position in WDC having narrowly ducked the bullet of this recent mania by covering before the stock rose above my sell point. Still gunnin for it. <G>
Best,
Stitch

To IS: What we may see on Tuesday is a sucker's
selloff before earnings during the morning hours.
I'm also still a little leary about the Brazilian
connection. I wanted to take a little cash off the
table prior to the big weekend and wanted to cash
in on a few of my winners-UIS and WDC. The huge
move in the NASDAQ on Friday with a slight loss in
WDC did not exactly wet my appetite in the very short
term either. I still stay we may see a pull back to
about 19 to 19.25. If not I"ll just repurchase in the
21 dollar range. Either way this baby will be making
a move to 30 once it shatters its previous 12 month
high of 22!! LETS MAKE SOME $$$!!!
