**** Newcomers & All: (Refresher) - We have been getting a steady stream of new thread members here that may not be familiar with the history of this thread and some of the rules that we all must abide by to keep this as THE thread on SI.....or anywhere else for that matter.

Let me state briefly, first, what my goal is:

To create an online community of serious traders and investors
of all experience levels to increase that which is most
important to continued success ..... factual, objective,
information.

Please see the following SI highlight that we received for more info:

www3.techstocks.com

Again, let me reiterate some of the things we are trying to accomplish here:

1. No hyping, spamming, or insulting posts...period. You will
be asked to leave the thread. It is up to each one of us
be true to this most important rule and to address the
poster that breaks it. We are all professionals here and
should support and listen to one another. It is ok to
disagree but please be courteous.

2. Be objective in your posts when relaying information. Make
sure the information is relayed first, and then enter your
take on the story or event. There is too much subjectivity
on other threads already. Resist the need to constantly
plug the stock that you have a position in.

3. During trading hours, please keep posts short, factual, and
free of information that is not useful in the trading day.
The occassional personal post is ok, but lets keep the
thread easy to browse during market hours. Just remember
moderation. Some days, like the big dip from last week, I
or others may call it an "anything goes" day to keep
people's minds off trading if market conditions do not look
like they are presenting favorable opportunities.

4. We all help each other here, regarless of experience. We all
have much that we can learn from each other and our unique
habits and tactics. The more experienced help the newbies
to gain confidence. With confidence comes the ability to
provide more information to the thread. What we are doing
here is not rocket science, anyone can learn it.

5. I personally ask that you get involved as much as you can.
You all have something to offer regardless of experience.
Your ability to come forward with a question will draw others
(lurkers) out as well and once you post and get involved, you
will find the confidence to get more involved....I promise.

6. Do not give constant updates on your issues, like all other
threads do. No one cares if the issue you are on goes up
1/16 from 2 minutes ago. If you have break out information
or you see the move as something that the thread can
benefit from, by all means post it. I will let you be the
judge here and I will send you a note if I feel it is in
excess.

7. Do not gloat about gains over and over. We all will have
streaks of good picks and bad. We will all know who is
responsible for a good play and information. Do not call
attention to yourself....respect is earned and cannot be
commanded. It is ok to get excited and share your success
story, we all do.

8. Share your mistakes and your losses. For one thing, you will
find support amongst us here and that alone will help you
correct the mental lapse or tactical mistake that caused the
loss. But allow all to learn from your mistake, I cannot
stress that enough.

9. Learn every day from yourself and others. There is an
education in every trade, and a lesson waiting to be learned.

10. And once again, please respect one another.

When posting to the thread here, please use the following format:

<poster>: <Issue> - <Text>

For Example

Triffin: IMON - I think it would be wise to sell the AM gap here

By posting to whom the message is to and the stock symbol, we can quickly browse unread posts if we are in a hurry. This format is in use nowhere else and I have received very positive feed back in what it is accomplishing. It does make the thread very easy to read.

It is up to each one of us to preserve the fundamentals of this thread. If you have any problems with a post or poster and do not wish to directly address him, please PM me and I will do my best to remedy the situation. Please also know that I have challenged Poet and Triffin to be co-moderators here and have given them free reign on the thread as they have been here since near the beginning and know what we are trying to accomplish.

We have started as of this year, a new Issue Specialist program, and will be starting more programs in the near future. I urge you all to play a part in these programs to bring even more information to thread so that we can continue to prosper as a group. Do not be afraid to get involved.

I am very pleased with the direction and content of this thread and I truly believe that there is no other online trading/investment community like us on the net. Please tell your friends about what we are trying to accomplish here and, if they feel that they share these same ideals, ask them to participate. We will grow by word of mouth as I have done very little marketing.

I assure you that if we keep up this level of performance and interraction, we will eventually get external attention.

Good luck to all and trade well. I sincerely thank you for your participation.
