Les, from Gail Barrs affidavit which Borzou posted (#28084), I asked Bob what we should do; whether I should have an abortion. He said it was entirely my decision and that I should do whatever I wanted to do. This was an extremely difficult choice, but Bob did not want to help in making the decision, even though he was the father. If Bob had said, "No, don't have an abortion," I never would have had it done. 9. Bob never told me not to have the abortion, or that he was in any way against my having the abortion. Any statement he made that he expressed his opposition to the abortion is simply not true. The problem here is that Barr and his CC compadres are NOT willing to let other potential abortion recipients "do what they want to do". They (the RR) put themselves in the middle of personal issues like this as if they are somehow entitled to be there. Then, when the matter hits home, Barr simply backs away saying "it was her decision". Ok, if they are willing to say it is always the mothers decision in all cases I can live with that - but youi cant have it both ways Christian Coalition. BTW there is a famous case involving a Berkeley student who was arrested in Ohio this last summer on a credit card fraud charge (a felony - she was the girlfried of the instigator). The 2 men got off but the girl who was pregnant had to serve 90+ days waiting for a trial - because the Right Wing judge didnt want to let her go so she could get a legal abortion while on bail (she mistakenly wrote the judge saying she was pregnant and needed the procedure). She now has put her education on hold and will try to raise the baby herself, since abortion is no longer an option. How dare that judge play god like that! People like Barr who make these phony stands give immoral judges like this ammunition to go against the law in order to achieve their religiously inspired agenda. As far as Im concerned Barr is no better than a murderer here for promoting his insincere agenda.
