I am sorry- you just went off to nut-land with that one. We are about as Christian as a country can get without having it be the state religion- oh sure, they aren't the same kind of Christians (Baptists, Protestants, Catholics, Presbyterians, Methodists, Lutherans, Pentecostal, Nazarene, Mennonite, Amish, Episcopal etc)- but they all THINK they are Christians, which is my main point. And there are WAY more of them than there are Jews. I understand paranoia and persecution are standard issue with your Bibles but some Christians manage to get off the bus with their sanity, unfortunately you're not one of 'em. If the Jews are trying to discredit Jesus they are clearly doing a terrible job.

I am sure some Jews persecuted some Christians and then the Christians gave as good as they got- maybe better- as soon as they got the upper hand. It is a sordid and bloody history of people who should have realized their basic uniting humanity but instead destroying each other over a stupid book. And yes I do mean a stupid book. Because if I have a living breathing person in front of me, and a book in front of me, I KNOW which is more precious. You don't. You are convinced that your book is more alive than people who are ACTUALLY alive but do not believe the same as you.

I don't meet many people with anti- Jesus feelings Bob. I am sure you remember my post (a work of art, of course) about how many Christian Hallmark ornaments there are (the Holy family, Madonnas, angels, Noah's Ark) compared to Jewish ornaments. Or how MANY more Christmas cards there are, compared to Hanukkah cards. Or how many more Christmas movies there are when compared to... HAS THERE EVEN BEEN ONE MAIN STREAM HANUKKAH MOVIE??????? What were those Jews in Hollywood thinking? Remember every time a bell rings another angel gets its wings? Yeah- right- SO big a conspiracy it is impossible to detect. BTW BOB, I sell head gear just for people like you. This light weight portable unit comprised of space age metals will protect you from all Jewish Anti- Jesus conspiracies. Please send $9.99 to "Holy Ghost Power: anti fanatic bigot department" and I will send you this most excellent foil beanie. You really need it and so does Emile.

Bob:

The gist of it is, both sides are rabid, dogmatic mystics. Both are wrong. And someday both will be expunged from history as the human race (species) on the whole attains greater wisdom and intelligence.

Steven was stoned

Yes, sir....

As the master once said:

Excuse me while I light my spliff...

Unfortunately, "was" is the operative term. Kids, laws, jobs.... the world is not what it ought to be. Much better than alcohol, though.

Steve

"Look at it as two cultures that split from one previous culture. The one split culture
embraced Jesus and became christianity. The other split culture rejected Jesus and
embraced that rejection making it as much a part of their culture as the christians did in
embracing Jesus. These two cultures have warred down the ages back and forth and
still war today. The anti-Jesus culture has risen to pre-eminence and power and has
overshadowed the christian culture. And the masses don't even know this anti-Jesus
culture exists. Yet it's influence is felt everywhere and negative feeling about christians
and christianity keep building and growing in general. But few can really put their finger
on the source of those feelings of negativity. They are subtly planted in the general
culture. The anti-Jesus feeling they have carried so long and are now expanding will
keep growing. "

Well put! An understanding of this conflict is the key to an understanding of the modern world. The political, social, and economic forces in the world are mere tactical movements. All historical events are subordinate to the goals of the adversaries in this spiritual conflict. One culture seeks to bring men to reality, truth, and eternal life, the other to falsehood, darkness and death. The conflict between the Church and the Synagogue is the conflict of the ages, a conflict for the eternal souls of men.
