Jeffry, I am now more interested in selling all my call holdings.
If the stock does not move up in the morning on Tuesday,
February 140s upto Feb 150s would be interesting. Of course I would
unload them by the end of the day (between 3:30 and 3:45).

I am just not sure how the stock will react on Wednesday, after earnings.
Even with great earnings, there is no guarantee it will move up simply
because the management can spook a lot of investors by sounding very
cautious about the future(they do this every quarter). Strangely, a stock
split announcement(which I am guessing won't happen at earnings) will cause
an incredible rally in the stock.

Given the risk involved, I don't think I am going to hold on to the
options beyond Tuesday (might keep a bit). I am just going to buy a lot
of shares. Even though the stock could shoot up Wednesday, I am just not
willing to take the same kind of risk as I would leading up to earnings(run up).

JMHO

Call strategy:

Tuesday between 10:00 and 10:30, initiate a 'bull spread' by buying at-the-money February call and selling equivalent call with a strike price $5 greater. Tuesday between 3:30 and 4:00, close this position and buy February puts with a strike price $5 below current stock price with your profit. Be prepared to close this position Wednesday or Thursday with a reasonable profit. $5. DON'T GET GREEDY!

Hope this helps, PW.

P.S. This should work with DELL earnings announcement next month too.
