Mcmannis - Re: ", I don't have any AMD anymore and I'm looking to buy some more Intel. "

Praise De Lord, Brudda !

Why you should be so grateful to Yousef and me for "convincing you to buy Intel " !

Remember that post of yours, Jim boy , after Intel went down a few points after you bought your first 100 shares ?

Paul

McMannis - Re: "but didn't have enough for Gateway, that's why you didn't see Gateway offer K6s but they will or so I hear. "

AMD a;ready sells CPUs to IBM, Compaq/DEC, NEC-Packard Bell, HP, Toshiba, Fujitsu, and many others.

Let them sell some low-ball chips to Gateway.

You're missing the point.

With AMD selling to essentially ALL of Intel's customers - save 2 or 3 - they still aren't making much in the way of profits. So what good is one more customer ?

In addition, AMD's COST ARE GOING TO SHOOT UP !

The K6-2 is uncompetitive - and its ASP will continue to plummet as Intel continues to DROP prices on its Celerons. The 400 MHz Celeron is already down to $163 on Pricewatch, so look out below !

When the LATE LATE SHOW arrives, in the form of SharpEye, AMD's costs are going to SOAR and their yields are going to PLUMMET.

The SharpEye is 44% biger than the K6-2 and the K6-2 yields at 34%.

JIMBO - that 34% yield is a verifiable calculatable number - from Loose Lips Sanders - and it is real - not that Phoney Baloney that Maxwell has been spoon feeding you gullible guppies over on the Pwivate Thwead. DO the MATH YOURSELF !

Adding a SharpEye - 44% Bigger - WILL NOT IMPROVE YIELDS - they will DROP even some more.

Of course, that will be We're Back Sanders' excuse at the next conference call.

Paul
