Thanks for your data point, Sean. As I've said, all three of mine booted up 450/2.00 no problem (indeed, I've cut the voltage to 1.95 on machine 1 with no ill effects, and probably will try the same on the others.)

All my 300a's are boxed, Malaysian (as opposed to Costa Rican) chips. All week 41 or later.

While I know that the OEM and boxed chips come off the same lines, I do wonder whether or not the boxed chips get subjected to tougher testing standards, and hence weaker chips may be weeded out. I've sure heard of very few boxed 300a Malay chips (for which some vendors charge more and by which Jon and Minotaur swears) that didn't do 450 without breaking a sweat.
