Cirruslvr,

About those production problems again

I still don't understand where the idea that AMD had "production problems" came from. The K6 family has moved up in MHz at a remarkable rate, well above the industry average.

The fact that there was a speedpath is not an indication of a problem. By definition there is always a critical speedpath in every design.

Had the top MHz increased faster, AMD would have made more money- but that is always the case for Intel competitors.

Cringe Cringe - Re: "ALL of them were 350 and above. 8
were 400MHz. Almost no Celeron PCs were advertised. "

Maybe Jerry wasn't 'TRUTHFUL" with the analysts.

Maybe AMD has a ton of 400 MHz K6-2's.

Maybe AMD has some other hidden problems.

We're gonna find out in 3 more months.

Get ready for a another CRINGE !

Paul

Yes, truely and advertising day for AMD in the papers.

BUT, you forgot the 3 or 4 Cyrix, M-II 300/333 machines selling for

$599-$699...and selling very well...

Funny how there were virtually no Celerons...
