Bell Atlantic was willing to pay 45 bil for Airtouch and lost. Why won't they buy Q for 8 bill, $100 sh? If Q has the critical patent portfolio for 3G, this would be a great steal. Also BAM would ensure a supply of good CDMA handsets.

And furthermore (on wishful thinking about Qualcomm appearing to be "changing their stripes" or is it "spots" ?) ...

One of the posts here (recently) had a link to some Microsoft investment blather where the resident so-called expert indicated that Qualcomm's new president (Mr. Sulpizio) might change things for the better.

Just remember how AT&T was regarded as "just great" almost as soon as Michael Armstrong was in there.

It is possible that some Wall Street "analysts" will use the "breath of fresh air" type analysis to justify a better opinion of Qualcomm.

Jon.
