The right over our own bodies and what happens inside them is as basic a right of freedom from interference of the State as you can get. If you don't see that, if you do not see the intrusiveness of that kind of a law, if you do not understand what can flow from it, we really have nothing further to talk about. I can understand how you might see all the consequences and yet still say, "It is worth it." But you don't even see them.

If the STATE decides what goes on in a woman's body than the STATE can prevent abortion BUT it could just as easily force her to have an abortion- all you need is the votes Bob. The STATE before the right to privacy was established sterilized people in mental hospitals. It was the right to privacy that prevents that from happening now- so you see it did happen here and you were ignorant of it. Was ignorance bliss Bob? Does it continue to be?
