Fred

I apologize if my response was improper.

However, I urge you to go back and look at Mr Brophy's comments and "tone" as he "accepts" and "rejects" entries. The idea of a contest is a great one, and I am as excited as anyone else to join. Yet, I feel uncomfortable because (1) we are taking up precious bandwidth from the PTEC thread, and (2) Mr Brophy seems to take his role as being "in charge" to an extreme.

In anycase, apologies if I offended anyone. Obviously I was being sarcastic.

Chinacat lives outside of the United States so, technically, U.S. companies are "foreign" from his viewpoint. Can someone provide empirical evidence that SEC documents alone substantially insure that U.S.companies are "safe" investments?

See all the "problems" that the internet is causing by allowing non-U.S. people into our "little private world"? Pretty soon, U.S. marketing companies will be hiring engineers from India over the internet or Indian engineering companies will be hiring U.S. marketing companies in a virtual economy!

Let's (U.S. citizens) elect Ross Perot if we want to restore safety to the American economy through U.S. government intervention and regulation of capitalism. I thought we elected Bill Clinton because we wanted to go back to the "free love" of the anti-Vietnam 60s. Can't you people make up your minds? :-)
