JP, I think you might be right about MSFT going up starting Wednesday.
There might be some short term volatility----although I don't think anyone
analyst in their right mind will downgrade this stock. After a day or so, this thing
will probably move up. If split announced, no chance of it going down
even for a day. I am betting on an upward move but am just limiting my
exposure to options.

IF they don't announce a split, I am going to look for opportunities to
do some day trades in the stock on Wednesday.

>> I think Microsoft powers through the week to
the upside.<<

I read your post to JP about his option strategy and have to agree with you. I think that if Microsoft reports good earnings and also a stock split, MSFT will rally for sometime on the news and also spike the day after the split. Anyway this is how historically Microsoft has fared.

Best Wishes
Frank

J.P.

I think you have it pretty close. I'm looking for MSFT to be in the 160's at some point next week. We may trade a little lower on Tuesday but Wednesday expect a gap up - maybe as much as $10 but I'll take five.

Regards

"Are you going to actually use this strategy?"

No.
